台湾のオルタナティブスクールは公的資金が出ておらず、学費でその予算の殆どを賄っているため、台湾ではオルタナティブスクールは高額なところというイメージもあるようです。そこで、地方自治体と組んでチャータースクールの形で教育委員かが費用を負担し、デモクラティックスクールの卒業生やその親たちがつくる組織が運営するというデモクラティックスクールを始めようとしています。勿論、そのデモクラティックスクールがさまざまにサポートをします。このような形を取ることで、デモクラティックスクールに通う子どもの家庭の経済負担がぐっと軽くなるという計画なのです。
Taiwanese free democratic schools do not have public money. They have to run the school mainly from tuition fee. Taiwanese democratic schools recognized as expensive schools sometimes. Now a charter school type of public funded democratic school is under planing. A local government pay the money for the democratic charter school and an organization of graduates and parents of graduates, etc run the school. Of course the democratic school supprt the new school. At the public funded democratic school, the tuition fee will be very low.
