IDEC2017イスラエル/Israel ⑤ ギバトオルガ/Givat Olga

Givat Olga is a name of place in Hadera City. This area was know as economically socially difficult community. Eleven years ago, a democratic school was founded here. At this school, teachers have good relathionship with students as other democratic schools. They also make great efforts to have better understanding of democratic education of the parents. Now this community becomes more and more conforatable one to live in, we heard. This wooden bench is the work of students. They also sell these works.
　ギバトオルガはヘデラ市の地域の地名です、経済的、社会的に困難を抱える地域でした。11年前にデモクラティックスクールができました。ここでは、子どもといい関係を作るのはもちろん、親にデモクラティックエデュケーションを理解してもらう努力をしてきています。その結果、この地域の治安なども良くなってきており、住みやすくなったと言われているそうです。
　写真のベンチは子どもの作品です。背中の部分は本の表紙を模しています。このような作品は売られて学校や子どもの収入にもなっています。
